Yvonne Jeffreys, M.Sc. C.O. F.C.B.C
Yvonne is a Canadian Certified Orthotist, with MSc in Rehabilitation Science and a BSc in Engineering.
Yvonne has spent most of the last 18 years working at Hodgson Orthotics, as well as teaching in the BCIT prosthetics and orthotics program since 2008. She is also a sessional instructor for the Clinical Reasoning and Decision-making Course at McMaster University in the Masters of Rehabilitation Science program, and also teaches in the UBC physiotherapy program. Prior to arriving in Vancouver, Yvonne spent 10 years working at the Ottawa Rehabilitation Centre. Since 1989, Yvonne has treated many patients across the pediatric, adult and elderly spectrum with a strong focus on patient-driven care and interprofessional collaboration.
Yvonne has been recognized with a Fellowship award from Orthotics and Prosthetics Canada for her professional volunteer work in national education standards and leadership within the Orthotics and Prosthetics field. Yvonne is originally from Toronto, where she studied Prosthetics and Orthotics at George Brown College. Now she enjoys the west coast and actively participates bike riding, swimming and camping with her family.
