What funding options are there for my device?
- For children, most orthoses are BC Fair PharmaCare benefits. If your child is on the At Home Program (AHP), we can apply here too!
- If you have an active WorkSafe BC (WCB) or ICBC claim, we are able to apply for funding.
- For adults with a Persons with Disabilities (PWD) designation via the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction (MSDPR), we can apply to the Ministry for your funding.
- If you have Indigenous status, we are able to apply to First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) for funding.
- Many private EHB plans through your workplace (i.e. PBC, Manulife, etc) fund orthotics and prosthetics.
- For amputees, most prosthetics are eligible through BC Fair PharmaCare. Your private EHB plan and the War Amps of Canada may also provide some funding for your prosthesis.
- We are also able to apply to charitable options such as Variety the Children’s Charity, CKNW Kid’s Fund, Muscular Dystrophy Canada, Cerebral Palsy Association of BC, MS Society if you meet their eligibility requirements
