Pauline Adams, B.Sc. C.O.(c)
Pauline is a Canadian Certified Orthotist with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo.
Pauline specializes in spinal fracture bracing. She is able to quickly and effectively provide bracing for in patients who need immobilization to facilitate safe recovery. Pauline also excels in pediatric orthotic treatment. She actively engages members of each patient’s interdisciplinary team to encourage an organized plan and optimize results.
Pauline has worked in regular collaboration with the Shaughnessy Hospital, GF Strong, Royal Columbian Hospital, Eagle Ridge hospital. Pauline also has a passion for education; she has acted as the Orthotics program instructor for BCIT’s Prosthetics and Orthotics program. Pauline also runs ongoing spinal trauma education session for members of the Fraser Health association.
Before her certification in 1989, Pauline spent a year traveling around Australia and New Zealand solo on her bike. She visited local P&O shops along the way to bring further breadth to her treatment approach. In her free time she is a mother of two and enjoys paddling activities, cycling and adventure hiking.
