Christine Keay, M.Sc., CP(c)

Christine joined Hodgson Orthopedic Group after spending five years in Winnipeg, MB, working at Winnipeg Prosthetic and Orthotic. She has a Bachelor degree in Kinesiology with a double major in Human Kinetics and Adapted Movement Science from the University of Regina. Christine graduated from the Prosthetics and Orthotics program at British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2016, with Distinction. During her time at BCIT, Christine also completed her Masters in Rehabilitation Science from McMaster University.

Christine also enjoys teaching. While in Winnipeg, she was fortunate to be part of the ‘Blended Learning’ program through George Brown College and Winnipeg clinics. Two students follow the George Brown curriculum remotely, while completing the practical component at different clinics across the city. Christine assisted with the practical experiences for transtibial and transfemoral blended learning programs. Once moving to BC, Christine accepted a temporary position to secondary teach the Clinical program at BCIT. She has found that being on both the learning and now teaching aspect of Prosthetics, it has allowed her to approach patient care with a new look.

In her spare time, she plays racquetball. Christine is currently a member of the Canadian National Elite team. She has played for 27 years and has traveled to many countries representing Canada at the international level. Christine is happy to be back on the west coast and taking in everything BC has to offer!
