FUNDING
We handle the paperwork with your funder
Before your first visit, we walk you through the options that apply to you. Then we apply on your behalf and bill most programs directly.
We bill these directly
- BC Fair PharmaCare and the At Home Program
- WorkSafeBC and ICBC claims
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD) through the Ministry
- First Nations Health Authority
- War Amps, Variety, CKNW Kids' Fund and other charities
Private health plans
Many workplace extended health plans, such as PBC and Manulife, fund orthotics and prosthetics. We don't bill private plans directly, so you'll submit that claim yourself.
QUESTIONS
Surrey clinic FAQ
Do I need a doctor's refferal to book?
No. You can book an assessment directly. If a device is right for you, you’ll need a prescription from your family doctor or specialist before we make it, and we provide a template with the correct wording.
Where do I park?
Park in one of the five on-site stalls marked Hodgson in Walnut Industrial Park. Accessible stalls are also available.
Does the Surrey clinic offer the same services as Coquitlam?
Yes. Every prosthetic and orthotic service is available at both Surrey and Coquitlam. Our North Shore location focuses on prosthetics only.
How long is the first appointment?
Assessments usually take about an hour. If you need devices for more than one limb, we book around 90 minutes so nothing is rushed.
How long until my device is ready?
It depends on the device. Baby helmets take about 2 weeks, scoliosis braces about 3, foot orthotics and most braces 3 to 4, and prostheses 4 to 6 weeks.
Can you bill my funding program directly?
For most public and charitable programs, yes, including PharmaCare, WorkSafeBC, ICBC, PWD and FNHA. Private extended health plans are the exception: you submit those claims yourself.
